ICG Today
We now carry approximately 1.6 million passengers, 0.4 million cars and 1.1 million teu (twenty foot equivalent units) of freight on our network and we employ approximately 500 people in Ireland, the UK and The Netherlands.
The Group operates through a decentralised management structure. Each business unit has its own management team with the expertise appropriate to its field of business. This enables it to remain responsive to the needs of its customer base. This is complemented by a small headquarters team providing strategic input along with Finance and IT support.
The group is committed to continuing the development of its positioning in the various markets in which it operates -“own-car” leisure and unitised freight.
In the passenger market, ICG believes that, as car ownership in developed economies continues to rise, the opportunity to entice car owners to use their cars for leisure breaks (“own-car” tourism) also increases and our strategy is to participate in that growth via leading edge fleet technology, customer service and advanced distribution.
In the unitised freight market, ICG's positioning is to facilitate the “just-in-time” RoRo freight market, through our state of the art ferries serving key short sea routes while also catering for the cost sensitive container freight market through our extensive container route network. |
