Dublin Ferryport Terminals (DFT) is part of the container and terminal division of Irish Continental Group.
The Company operates the most modern container terminal within the Dublin Port estate. The facilities offered at the 14 hectare site are currently being enhanced and expanded with the recent commissioning of a third ship-to-shore gantry crane and lengthening of the quay wall which is due for completion in early 2010. Dublin Port is the Republic of Ireland’s premier seaport, with a total throughput in 2008 of 29 million tonnes.
DFT provides container handling services to its sister company Eucon , as well as to a range of third party customers. High frequency container freight services also operate from DFT's terminal in Dublin Port to Rotterdam, Antwerp and Radicatel with connections to Cork and Belfast.
DFT has completed the recent development of its container handling facility at Dublin, which now has an annual handling capacity of over 450,000 TEU's.
