Irish Continental Group announces that it has made a purchase of its own Ordinary Shares on the market as follows;

Date of Transaction : 31 March 2003

Number of Shares : 210,705 (two hundred and ten thousand seven hundred and five) representing 0.85% of the previously issued shares

Price : The price paid was €7.80 per share

These shares will be cancelled.
