Purchase of Own Shares

Further to the announcement on 9th March 2004 concerning the purchase of its own shares, Irish Continental Group notes that it was stated in error that these shares would be cancelled. These shares will be held as treasury shares.

As at the date of this announcement the total number of ICG Units held as treasury shares is 749,500 ICG Units and the total number of ICG Units in issue, excluding treasury shares, is 23,357,534 Units.
